The Canadian Go Association supports the formation of an Intercollegiate Go League
The Executive of the CGA has approved funding, and nominated the executives of The Glowing Stone & The Laurier Goban and GO for All to liase with the post-secondary institutions of Ontario and Ontario University Athletics to bring this new league into existence. Currently, Ambjorn Adomeit and Tyler Reynolds, having initiated contact, are awaiting responses from the other stake-holders to move this project forward. Universities that have already expressed an interest in pursuing the creation of a CGA-supported Varsity League include:
University of Waterloo
Sir Wilfred Laurier University
Brock University
York University
University of Toronto
McMaster University
McGill University
To qualify for recognition by Ontario University Athletics, we need the support of 8 Ontario-based Universities.
