Hosts wanted for the 2010 Canadian Open
At the Canadian Open September 5th-7th 2009 the hosts for the 2010 event will be selected. We'd like to hear from Canadian Cities/clubs that would be interested in being the hosts as soon as possible, send email to the CGA executive (execs@go-canada.org).
Juyong Koh completed a successful WAGC trip finishing 10th
At the World Amateur Go Championships held 26th-30th May 2009 Juyong Koh finished in 10th place with a 5-3 score. Congratulations! Juyong reports disappointment with his loss to France, where he felt he had the lead in the endgame, but lost on time when he confused his count of stones he needed to use before the end of a time period. He reports plans to do better next time. The AGA E-Journal has been kind enough to allow us to post the game record of his game with Romania commented by Michael Redmond 9P.
