Japanese 9Dan Professional to visit Canada
The CGA has recently been informed that Mr. Shinichi Aoki 9P from the Nihon Kiin will be in Canada from September 2nd to October 29th 2009. His trip will be sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Education and Culture.
The resource we could most use the help with is Japanese speakers from the Canadian Go community. If you speak any Japanese and are willing to help please send email to president@go-canada.org
Aside from translation, we will want to know about clubs and schools programs who would like the opportunity to learn from Mr. Aoki. Also if there are Canadian Go players who would like to host Mr. Aoki he has expressed interest in the opportunity to visit Canadian families. He is planning to give at least 8 lectures a month, although if it could be arranged he would be interested in doing more. He is hoping to travel widely to many parts of the country, so we'd like to hear from you no matter where you are.
