North America's longest running and most prestigious youth tournament is now open for registration. The American Go Foundation also provides cash prizes to the winners. For complete details, and to register, e-mail None Redmond -- chinski@inreach.com -- by January 31. ING School tournament returns
Registration is now open for the 2009 ING Team Go Tournament, which yielded the largest turnout ever for a youth tournament in North America last year, in the first ever collaboration between the American Go Honor Society and the AGA. The deadline to register is February 8th. Temas can be formed by any school with at least 3 Go players, and by home-schooled kids who want to play together. Youth go clubs in alternative schools or part time schools are also allowed, as are teams from you at public library clubs. All games will be played on the KGS Go Server. The ING Foundation is providing 100 USD in gift certificates to every team that completes the tournament, with extra prizes for winners in eight different brackets. The competition begins February 21st -- rounds last for two weeks -- and runs through April 4th. For more information, and to register, click the tournaments link on the AGHS web site.
